To the editor:

Congratulations to Gloria Ferry Brennan (11-year-old, home-schooled fifth-grader) for her outstanding performance as violin soloist this week with the Everett Youth Symphony Orchestra, playing the Allegro movement of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto.

This was a full week for Whidbey musicians, with the Friday night concert of the Whidbey Community Orchestras, and the Saturday and Sunday concerts of the Saratoga Chamber Orchestra and Tuesday’s final concert of the season with the Everett Youth Orchestras.

I want to especially mention violist Zoe Hensler who now plays in all of these orchestras, being recently added to the viola section of SCO. For more information check www.eyso.info or
