LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Rick Larsen should be re-elected

Editor, I heartily agree with The Record’s endorsement of Congressman Rick Larsen for re-election in the second district in the “Jacks, Grone, Crider right for county seats” editorial, Oct. 22. He was my congressman till redistricting a few years ago. I found him accessible, a good listener and an honest man. I have witnessed him answering questions in his straight-forward style, even at times when the asker didn’t appreciate his answer.

Editor,

I heartily agree with The Record’s endorsement of Congressman Rick Larsen for re-election in the second district in the “Jacks, Grone, Crider right for county seats” editorial, Oct. 22.

He was my congressman till redistricting a few years ago. I found him accessible, a good listener and an honest man. I have witnessed him answering questions in his straight-forward style, even at times when the asker didn’t appreciate his answer.

He has been a champion of local issues and global issues that make a difference in our world. Most recently he supported Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, in its work to make sure all children are vaccinated in a program that insures developing countries take over this work. This will insure a system that saves lives and will be ready when an Ebola vaccine is ready. Imagine the gratitude of parents whose children no longer die of measles, pneumonia, or other diseases.

We need more representatives that take care of America, at home and abroad, like Mr. Larsen.
