LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Salmon shirts a touching reminder

Editor, After reading the recent article about pink salmon fishing I would like to add a little more to the story. If you were lucky enough to have a bought a shirt from Freeland Ace Hardware you will see the artistic pink “humpy” salmon on the back. The fish was drawn by my granddaughter, Nichol Zalewski. Nichol was a very gifted artist and this was her last piece. She passed away in May. She was 23.

We, her family, are so proud of her and all she accomplished in her short life. She would have been so pleased to see so many wearing these fun shirts.
