Question for you: where do you go to find a healthful, delicious, affordable lunch served Tuesday and Thursday from 12 to 1:30 p.m. in Langley? I have a suggestion and it’s The Soup Kitchen at the Island Church of Whidbey, located on the corner of Sixth Street and Cascade Avenue.

Question for you: where do you go to find a healthful, delicious, affordable lunch served Tuesday and Thursday from 12 to 1:30 p.m. in Langley? I have a suggestion and it’s The Soup Kitchen at the Island Church of Whidbey, located on the corner of Sixth Street and Cascade Avenue.

There you will find a wonderful, tasty lunch of soups, salads, breads, desserts and sometimes more, which is served by a dedicated, friendly, hardworking group of volunteers.

You get all this for only a donation. This best kept secret in Langley has been going on for over 11 years, and they never fail to deliver. I suspect it’s the best soup kitchen in the country.

Do yourself a favor and come out and meet this fabulous group of people, have a tasty lunch and please leave a big donation; it will be put to use and you won’t be sorry.
