On behalf of the SWHS jazz ensemble, we thank the fabulous WICA staff and volunteers along with the community at large for their generous support of the band’s fundraising concert Feb. 12.

The WICA concert, which music director Chris Harshman refers to as “one of the most fun nights of the year for the band and the community,” is a well-established annual event that will return again next year.

If you could not attend the WICA performance, there will be several more opportunities to hear this professional-level band perform in the near future as it continues to raise funds for competing in music festivals around the Northwest, instrument repair and music scholarships.

Stay tuned and enjoy your listening. Again, thanks to all who participated and support this wonderful cultural resource.
