LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Take the school bus

To the editor:

How can the we help? This is a question I hear a lot by people who want to support the school district. If you have kids attending school, you have the opportunity to donate an average of $540 per rider next week. You don’t even have to leave your neighborhood.

If you have your kids ride the bus to school at least three times from the same bus stop next week, you will help the school district receive an average of $540 per rider. This is especially important for the morning ride.

Seniors at the high school, leave your cars at home for just three days next week.

I counted more than 100 cars in the parking lot. If you all rode the bus next week, that would be the equivalent of $54,000. Imagine what that money can do to keep the district from more severe cuts.

Every little bit counts. This is the opportunity to make a big difference through a small effort. Need to know your route, pick up and time? Call the bus barn at 221-5909. They can tell you where to catch the bus and benefit your child’s education.
