To the editor:

The Republican National Committee spent $150,000 for Sarah Palin’s clothes and makeup and hairdressing to put her on display for two months. That’s the equivalent of $10,000 a year for 15 years, or $5,000 a year for 30 years.

Not only does this cut the ground right out from under John McCain’s stand against “wasteful spenders” in Washington, but it shows us exactly what is meant by putting lipstick on a pig.
