LETTER TO THE EDITOR | The Navy is appreciated on Whidbey

Editor, I would like to comment on Mr. Abraham’s letter about Ryan’s House and Outlying Field that ran in Saturday’s paper. First, your medical evidence you claim to have is based on misgiven information on Citizens of Ebey’s Reserve (or COER) part. It’s biased and without merit. Next, I find it highly offensive you feel privileged and a spokesperson for not only the homeless youth but Ryan’s House also.

Editor,

I would like to comment on Mr.

Personally, I think the possible new location is a perfect solution for many of the actual people involved and not someone from COER looking for yet another feeble attempt to shut down the air strip. This sir, is a Navy town. We have been and will continue to be a Navy town.

One of the beautiful things about America is our freedoms. So here’s a wonderful way for you to exercise your freedoms, provided to you, courtesy of the Navy and all branches of the military. You’re welcome.

Exercise your freedoms by moving. Find a nice little quiet place, in the middle of nowhere that doesn’t have a well established military presence. It’s exhausting listening to you and your members create lies, falsehoods and scare tactics. It’s such a simple solution for everyone. If you are that miserable here, please, do your homework and find another place to call home. I’m sure the homeless youth being helped by Ryan’s House will be ecstatic knowing they have somewhere safe, dry, warm and welcoming to go to in their time of need.

And for you, Mr. Abraham, good riddance and so long. Safe travels, fair winds and calm skies. In my home, in Coupeville, we cherish those jets and their noise, we pray for their safety while they defend our freedoms.
