To the editor:
It’s sad! Statistics indicate that individuals who have a roof over their heads, eat three meals a day and own a car are among the richest 5 percent of the people in the world.
That includes most people in the USA.
Two months ago we planted four 5- to 6-foot-tall arborvitae to beautify our driveway entrance and the roadway in front of our home. On July 20 a thief took them.
It’s sad that in the richest country in the world a person can grow in age but not in honesty. Did the parents, schools or church fail these children, or is their immaturity simply a product of an affluent society?
It’s sad for them and the next generation of children they bring into the world.
