Editor,
Today’s observation of the Democratic governors convening to strategize their opposition against President Elect Trump and his incoming administration has sparked a sense of curiosity within me. As I ponder over their approach, I am left wondering why the focus is not on fostering collaboration and unity for the collective progression of our nation and respective states.
In these unprecedented times, shouldn’t we prioritize setting aside past grievances and beginning anew in our obligation to serve the constituents who have entrusted us? The quintessential American spirit of affording individuals the chance to prove themselves seems to be fading amidst the political discord. It is a time for reconciliation, cooperation and shared responsibility in steering the course of our beloved country towards a brighter future, one that thrives on mutual respect and working together towards common goals.
