Editor,

I write this letter in support of Edward Drum, who still has the right to speak in this country and in the Whidbey News Times, contrary to the apparent wishes of Austin Cook, who wrote in his letter to the editor that Drum’s letter should not be published in our local newspaper.

Cook referenced his desire not to have a religious- inspired rant and Catholic views printed.

I think perhaps we need more religious people speaking out.

Maybe our country could stand a little more honest profession of Judeo-Christian values.
