We can lock up guns, we can lock up the mentally ill, but until we come to terms with the proliferation of hate in our country we are all helpless.

To the editor:

We can lock up guns, we can lock up the mentally ill, but until we come to terms with the proliferation of hate in our country we are all helpless.

Hate pulls the trigger. Hate wields the machete. Hate feeds the poison. When confronted with hate-filled behavior, either local or internationally, we must speak up.
