To the editor:

Congratulations to the Arlington School District for having the insight and intelligence to hire Mike Johnson as its executive director of human resources.

Mike is the perfect candidate for any role in a growing school district that requires excellence from its staff. I worked with Mike for four years and know him to be intelligent, creative and dedicated to all children and any community in which he desires to serve.

Thanks, Mike, for all you’ve done for the children of South Whidbey, the teachers and staffs, the Kiwanis Club, the Clinton chamber, your church and the South Whidbey community as a whole. You will be missed.
