To the editor:
Her letter claiming “the best candidate won in District 3 Primary Emerson vs Dean”
I would have ignored as coming from those “wacko wing nuts” Tea Party people (see their Delaware Tea Party-nominated Republican senator Christine O’Donnell’s use of those words) but for the fact of Sawyer’s previous letters opposing the $50 levy to assist the law and justice community claiming poverty when in fact she was a Republican functionary in the Island County Republican Party. So is Kelly Emerson from Camano Island, who campaigned against said levy.
Many people on fixed incomes or living at the poverty level could not well afford it, but not the Republican Party, who came out against it, assuring its failure. Thanks guys for being such a wonderful example of poor citizenship. The party of NO has struck again.
Your efforts will force the non-enforcement of crimes by the prosecutor and a lack of deputies to fill out necessary police reports of property crimes (stolen vehicles, burglaries), and if the sheriff has any guts to require known Republicans to do their own investigations and file their own reports (see actions taken by other city law enforcements reported in USA Today).
To balance the budget, funds have been depleted that available to senior citizens, The Island County Fair, tourism and extension service.
Have you ever seen a tax liked by the Republican Party? Their motto is, “Don’t tax me, tax that Democrat or Independent behind that tree.”
Finally, more Republicans vote in the primary than Democrats, therefore if John Dean gets out his supporters, and Independents use their God-given common sense, they won’t fall for this Tea Party nonsense.
As to who is the better candidate, just meet them both, and it will be a landslide for Dean.
