To the editor:
This is in response to Dan Freeman’s diatribe about Republicans and how bad they are. This is from “CNN Politics ” got it from the web, Nov. 22, 2002 who voted for the war on Iraq resolution. CNN: “In a major victory for the White House, the Senate early Friday voted 77-23 to authorize President Bush to attack Iraq if Saddam Hussein refuses to give up weapons of mass destruction as required by U.N. resolutions. Hours earlier, the House approved an identical resolution, 296-133. The president praised the congressional action, declaring ‘America speaks with one voice.'” That is direct cut and paste. You think there were Democrats who voted for it too.
On the Valarie Plame leak: On August 29, 2006 Neil A. Lewis of The New York Times reported that Richard Armitage was the “initial and primary source” for columnist Robert Novak’s July 14, 2003 article, which named Valerie Plame as a CIA “operative” and which triggered the CIA leak investigation.
On Aug. 30, 2006, CNN reported that Richard Armitage had been confirmed “by sources” as leaking Ms. Wilson’s CIA role in a “casual conversation” with Robert Novak.[20]The New York Times, quoting people “familiar with his actions”, reported that Armitage was unaware of Ms. Wilson’s undercover status when he spoke to Novak.
Note: Richard Armitage is a Democrat.
The rumors on who could and could not get Osama bin Laden, again copied directly from the source: LA Times, Dec. 5, 2001.
But U.S. authorities repeatedly turned the data away, first in February 1996; then again that August, when at my suggestion Sudan’s religious ideologue, Hassan Turabi, wrote directly to Clinton; then again in April 1997, when I persuaded Bashir to invite the FBI to come to Sudan and view the data; and finally in February 1998, when Sudan’s intelligence chief, Gutbi al-Mahdi, wrote directly to the FBI.
There are a several more articles how Clinton had Osama in his crosshairs, I will add the other main reason why Clinton did nothing about Osama … President Clinton was dealing with the Monica Lewinsky problem at the same time, there are articles on that, too.
Your facts on the unions are wrong, the unions did not make this country great! It was the American people and their hard work that made this country great. You make it sound like Boeing got the unions in first then designed and built planes. Same for all the large corporations to the smallest to mom and pop store on the corner. It was not because of the unions it was because of hard work American ingenuity this nation became great. The problem with unions like SEIU, IAW, NEA and others is they have become an arm of the progressive (socialist/Marxist) movement. They are in essence President Obama’s money machine and private army, example Wisconsin.
From the late 1920s unto the early ’60s the unions did help with working conditions, training, health care etc. But soon after the unions became an arm of the Democrats and now they are called progressives (I wonder what that means).
There are all of these complaints about FOX News, Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Lavine and the others. FOX is just one channel. What does the left have? ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, PBS – to name a few.
So people like Dan Freeman admit you are “progressives” and you will side with American politics when the country becomes socialist/Marxist, it is so funny how the progressives hide who they are, it is like they are ashamed.
I am a conservative, I am a Christian, I believe in God, family and country.
I believe the Constitution is NOT a living document and is the law of the land. So all you lefties bring it on, admit what you are.
