Thanks, emergency responders, for rescuing our Langley pup

Editor,

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to South Whidbey Fire/EMS, Central Whidbey Fire & Rescue and NAS Whidbey Search & Rescue for their skills and compassion in safely rescuing our seven-month-old puppy who went over our cliff on the evening Jan. 7.

The response was unbelievable with fire trucks, search and rescue personnel, lights, ladders, ropes, wire cutters, harnesses, etc. Their plan was implemented with safety first and their skills took over during the dark, windy and rainy night. We are grateful to have such knowledgeable and caring folks in our community who would jump at the opportunity to save a dog. And I am happy to report Ziggy is doing just fine.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Karen and Mike White … and Ziggy, too!

MIKE and KAREN WHITE
