Clinton Town Picnic sponsors wanted to throw Clinton’s fourth annual picnic.

Just because.

Because being outside in the good Whidbey air is fun.

Because Dan Porter Park is a jewel of a public space.

Because there is room for everybody.

Because many who live nearby walked, bringing their dogs with them.

Because good live music is fun.

Because eating good free food is fun.

Because seeing kids of all ages romp, frolic, roll about, loll about

in the same space where the elderly sit in chairs near the music, able to hear, is fun.

Because the abundance of conversations between folks knits the fabric of community.
