To the editor:
Gloria Ferry-Brennan did a fantastic job as violin soloist with the Seattle Symphony on Thursday, March 3.
She played the first movement of the “Khachaturian Violin Concerto” with sparkle and feeling and got a standing ovation. She looked stunning in a dress she designed herself.
She was the first soloist in a series of concerts featuring young musicians. Gloria, age 14, started violin with Island Strings at age 4 and is the first Whidbey student to be a soloist with the Seattle Symphony. There have been others who have played with the orchestra (gold medalists), including violinist Teo Benson of Coupeville.
She is an inspiration to all who hear her.
