Creative types have just a few more days to respond to a call for an artist or team of artists to be part of a new mural project in Langley.
Langley Creates, the city’s new creative district, is looking to add a mural to the South Whidbey Community Center that reflects its values.
Mural dimensions are approximately 70 feet long and 32 feet high. Materials should be designed and fabricated to last at least 20 years. Artists will not be responsible for maintenance. The budget for the project is $15,000.
The application is open to all artists or teams in the U.S.
A selection committee will review all completed proposals and up to three semi-finalists will be invited for an interview. One finalist will be selected.
Artists have until March 1 to apply. Application materials must be submitted to LangleyCreatesWA@gmail.com.
A letter of interest, images of past works, an image list document and references should all be included when applying.
