Clinton residents Sonya Tsuchigane and James “Trap” Landry Jr. will be married at 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19 at the Coupeville Courthouse. A reception will follow on April 29, 2017.

Tsuchigane is an acupuncturist while Landry Jr. is a pickle maker and chef.

“We’re happy to start our married life on Whidbey Island,” Landry Jr. said.

The couple met 20 years in Austin, Tex. while working together at a bistro. They stayed in touch over the years using social media.

“Fate brought us back together,” Tsuchigane said.

Tsuchigane’s mother is Dagmer Taegar and her father is Robert Tsuchigane. Landy Jr.’s parents are deceased.
