Direct from the Los Angeles “Everything Is” Festival, the Firesign Theatre Film Classic, a 90-minute program of film performances by the legendary comedy troupe, will be shown at Whidbey Children’s Theater at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 30.

Admission to this screening is by donation with 100 percent of the proceeds going toward the WCT Financial Aid Program.

Firesign founder David Ossman will introduce the film. This unique collection of film includes the recently discovered “Bob Sideburn News” (1970), “Everything You Know is Wrong” from their 1974 LP album and “The Martian Space Party,” a live stage show nominating Papoon For President from 1972 and more. This one-of-a-kind program was assembled by Taylor Jessen, the Firesign Theater archivist.

Now in their 45th year of collaboration, Firesign Theater stars Phil Austin, Peter Bergman, Phil Proctor and Freeland’s own David Ossman.

WCT is located at 222 Anthes in Langley.
