Music will waft on the late morning and afternoon air as Langley takes on the lighthearted spirit of summer.
The Langley Summer Concerts series features local musicians performing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays in July, August and September.
All performances will be at the Useless Bay Coffee Company’s “shed,” the performance venue outside the café at 121 Second St. in Langley.
The series is presented by the Whidbey Island Arts Council, Useless Bay Coffee Company and Joe’s Island Music. Raffle tickets sold during the summer series at the café will benefit the philanthropic arm of the arts council.
The lineup includes a slew of Whidbey Island favorites, including Janie and Joe, Nzira Marimba & Friends, and Bayview Sound, among others. It also delves into new musical territory with acts such as Joe Moreno, Blue Sky Roadtrip and Piper Reva.
