Sasha Wright, a 2000 graduate of South Whidbey High School and daughter of Hamersley (Lee) and Nina Wright of Clinton, plans to wed Jordan Husney this summer.

Husney is the son of Owen Husney and Lauren Schneider of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Britt Kiefer of Minneapolis, Minn.

Wright graduated from Beloit College in Beloit, Wisc. in 2005 and also earned a doctorate in ecology from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 2013. She met Husney while completing her research for her PhD. Husney is a 1998 graduate of Minnetonka High School in Minnesota.

The couple is planning a July wedding, after which they will begin their new life in Los Angeles, Calif. Wright will teach at Cal State in Los Angeles while Husney will continue working to develop his software startup company, Parabol.
