Whidbey clinic offers effective, personalized weight loss care online

Virtual visits and direct-to-door medication delivery are changing weight loss treatment

When Kristine Holiday saw the difficulties her patients faced while trying to lose weight, she recognized that traditional methods of diet and exercise often fall short, especially when factors like genetics, medications and underlying health conditions are at play.

Determined to offer a more effective solution, Holiday launched WeightMed PLLC in May 2022. Now, the clinic specializes in personalized weight loss programs delivered entirely online, providing patients with tailored care without leaving their homes.

“I witnessed firsthand how so many of my patients struggled with losing weight,” Holiday shares.

“I wanted to offer something better, something that actually works for those who have hit roadblocks with other methods.”

The process to start a weight loss program at WeightMed is straightforward and entirely virtual.

Patients begin by scheduling a free 40-minute consultation via the clinic’s website, where they discuss their medical history and receive a detailed explanation of the medications used and potential side effects.

“We really focus on making the initial process seamless and accessible,” Holiday emphasizes.

WeightMed offers two primary medications: semaglutide and tirzepatide, both administered as weekly injections. These medications are delivered directly to patients’ doors from partnering pharmacies.

The clinic’s all-inclusive membership covers everything, including medication, injection supplies and monthly follow-up televisits. Semaglutide memberships start at $325 per month, while tirzepatide begins at $350 per month.

Maintenance plans, which are critical to long-term success, range from $125 to $285 monthly depending on the dosage required.

“Our approach is comprehensive,” Holiday notes. “We customize treatment plans based on each patient’s medical history and conditions and we ensure our patients are well-informed about the medications, including how to minimize any side effects.”

Unlike traditional weight loss clinics that might require frequent in-person visits, WeightMed operates solely through telehealth, allowing patients to receive care from the comfort of their homes.

“It is exciting to be able to serve the local community with the convenience of virtual visits,” Holiday says.

“It’s one less barrier for patients. They don’t have to worry about taking time off of work or having to wait in an office waiting room.”“What motivates me most is watching patients regain their health and vitality,” she says.

“We’re not just helping people lose weight, we’re addressing the root of many chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension and sleep apnea. For me, that’s the most rewarding part.”
