Fair work in high gear

“As the 41st annual Island County Fair draws ever closer, work up at the Fair Grounds is speeding up.

“At the Fair Board meeting held July 28, the board of directors approved a budget providing for $17,000 of expenditures as presented by the treasurer.

“During Fair time, all officials will wear bright red vests, it has been decided, so that anyone needing help will be able to spot them easily. The vests will certainly add to the Fair’s theme, as well.”
