Visitors are promised great live music, dance presenters and dancing in relaxed settings, from social dances to classes in waltz, line dancing, middle Eastern veil, cha-cha, even rock ‘n’ roll. The Dances of Universal Peace will take place Nov. 4 from 7:30-10 p.m. at the Greenbank Clubhouse, using use sacred phrases, chants, music and movements from the many spiritual traditions of the earth to promote peace and create an integrated experience of body, mind and spirit.Or dance-hop from salsa to samba to marimba; try swing, contra, tango or Celtic dancing. For more information call 221-6747.MARTHA FUREY ON STAGEMartha Furey will present her one-woman play “La Flor de Mexico/Frida Kahlo” on Nov. 12-14 at Bayview Studio, accompanied by an exhibit of Furey’s own art work, much of it done on her recent visit to Ireland.La Flor de Mexico was first performed in Langley four years ago and recently toured across Ireland, ending up in the Edinburgh Fringe Theatre Festival in Scotland, where it received a rave review.
