County gives tideland to local port district
“The county commissioners have decided to transfer 750 feet of tideland to Langley Port District. The tideland, which fronts the main business district in Langley, is necessary for the town’s proposed port project.
The port commissioners will still have to negotiate with several private owners to tidelands included in the preliminary plan.”

Boy arrested on ferry after gun scare
“Two Mukilteo police physically took down a 17-year-old boy on the deck of the ferry Cathlamet Sunday night after the boy displayed a cigarette lighter that looks like .22-caliber pistol.
The officers made the takedown and the arrest after a number of ferry passengers witnessed the boy brandishing the fake gun among a group of friends.”
