Volunteer beach-cleaning efforts will now be held on Thursdays, and the cadre of those who sweep across the sands searching for litter every season are looking for a few more hands to add to the task.

The first beach listed is cleaned at 10 a.m., and the second beach listed is cleaned at noon. The schedule and locations: April 21, Deception Pass, Ala Spit; April 28, Double Bluff; May 5, Fort Casey Park, Keystone Spit (north); May 12, Keystone Spit (middle), Keystone Spit (south); May 19, Deception Pass, Ala Spit; May 26, Double Bluff.
