Wednesday, May 5

At 2:37 a.m., a North Whidbey caller reported that a Chinese rocket was orbiting the Earth and was out of control.

At 12:19 p.m., a Kinzie Road resident reported that she didn’t know her Social Security number.

At 12:23 p.m., a caller reported that an inmate vandalized the jail.

Thursday, May 6

At 7:10 a.m., a caller on South Main Street reported that a “shady dude” may have stolen a school bag and laptop from an apartment.

At 8:40 a.m., a caller said an elephant seal in the water off Robinson Beach seemed to be in distress. He was lying on his back, sinking and then coming up in the same spot over and over again.

At 10:27 a.m., a driver reported seeing a woman curled up in a ball in the middle of Deception Pass Bridge.

Friday, May 7

At 7:11 a.m., a resident reported that a homeless person was lying on the ground, flopping around and screaming at a school bus stop on Oak Harbor Road.

At 10:44 a.m., a resident reported that squatters moved into a house on Double Bluff Road.

At 5:47 p.m., a 911 call was transferred from Jefferson County, but all that could be heard was the sound of a chainsaw.

At 8:28 p.m., a driver reported being followed on Northeast 9th Street by a man in a blue Toyota Corolla. The man had yelled at the caller and threaten to follow him home.

Saturday, May 8

At 1:06 a.m., a caller said he has a list of people who should be arrested.

At 8:54 a.m., a caller at the Coupeville Farmers Market reported that people from a farm on North Whidbey refused to wear face masks. The people also refused to leave when they were told.

At 12:50 p.m., a caller reported that someone broke into her car parked on Saratoga Road while she was hiking.

At 6:22 p.m., a North Whidbey man reported that there had been an outage earlier and he needed help turning on his TV.

At 7:03 p.m., a Slumber Lane resident reported that an injured eagle was in his backyard.

At 8:37 p.m., a Carl Avenue resident reported that a “mama deer” ran across the road and left one of the baby deer behind.

At 9:53 p.m., a North Whidbey caller reported that a cat was in a tree.

Sunday, May 9

At 12:17 p.m., a caller reported that a little boy lost his parents at Deception Pass Park.

At 12:30 p.m., a resident reported that a squatter refused to leave a vacant building on Ault Field Road.

At 3:54 p.m., a resident reported that someone in the Silverspur Road area has been shooting peacocks.

At 4:50 p.m., a woman reported hitting an owl with her car on Monroe Landing Road.

At 7:37 p.m., a Highway 525 resident reported that a dog keeps attacking chickens.

Monday, May 10

At 4:10 p.m., a driver reported that someone was lying in a ditch along Highway 20.

Tuesday, May 11

At 2:13 a.m., a caller reported that three people were breaking into a house on Green Road.

At 2:04 p.m., a caller said he had a hypothetical question that was not relevant to anything.
