Careage of Whidbey, a skilled-nursing facility in Coupeville, has reopened to new patients, the facility’s owner said.
It had been closed to new patients since Dec. 17 because a routine annual inspection by the federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services found as many as 40 deficiencies in Careage’s procedures or building. None of the deficiencies posed a threat to patient health or safety.
The facility remedied all the problems, said Sean O’Neill, acting director, last week.
