“The Tiller’s Folly will bring a taste of Canadian Celtic to South Whidbey High School in a concert on Thursday.South Whidbey High School’s performing arts center is the venue for Concerts on the Cove’s next event on Nov. 16, when the Tiller’s Folly will play traditional and contemporary Celtic music and dance. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Mixing new and old styles, it is presently on a crusade to celebrate British Columbia’s dramatic history through song, weaving the tales of Canada’s West Coast into lively Celtic compositions.Joining the Tillers’ Folly are two world-class Irish dancers performing a range of dance styles, from slip jigs to the rhythmic treble reels and hard-shoe thunder made popular by Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.
