Central Whidbey leads in rainfall

So far, just one of the reporting weather stations for the WSU-Island County extension has reported more rain this year than the levels seen in 2008. The weather reporting station at Crockett Lake reported a yearly total of 19.45 inches through Dec. 13, up from 19.28 at the same time last year.

So far this year, Fort Casey is the wettest place on Whidbey. The station there reported a total of 20.24 inches of rain through Dec. 13. Last year, the Fort Casey station had 21.74 inches over the same time span.
