The Central Whidbey Republican Women will hold their annual summer barbecue this Saturday at Smugglers Cove.

The keynote speaker is Lew Randall of the CATO Institute who will be speaking on the debt ceiling agreement and its impact on the economy. He will also introduce Jeff Lauderdale who will address his potential candidacy for the Island County Board of Commissioners, District 1.

The barbecue is from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 at 190 Lily Lane, Greenbank.
