Air Force Airman Daniel E. Childers graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

Childers, a 2010 graduate of South Whidbey High School, is the son of James and Tarisa Childers of Freeland.

During basic training, the airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
