There is such a thing as a free lunch on South Whidbey this summer, at least for youths ages 18 and under.

Food Lifeline is sponsoring its free summer meals program from June through August. Kids can grab a lunch 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Langley Park. The only day the lunches will not be available is July 4.

No application or proof of income are required for the program hosted by Good Cheer Food Bank and Thrift Stores.
