Anyone who wants to meet Langley mayoral candidate Sharon Emerson will have plenty of chances to do so next month.

Emerson, who is vying for the city’s top seat with Thomas Gill and Tim Callison, has announced that every Sunday in July she will hold a “Meet the Candidate” gathering at a location in Langley.

Mayor Fred McCarthy is not running for re-election.

The gatherings are informal with participants being invited to discuss anything from concerns and ideas to chatting about “books, movies or rabbit sightings.”

They will last two hours, from 2-4 p.m., and be rotated among the following places: the Commons, Useless Bay Coffee and the tables in front of the Firehouse.
