“Teddy’s on Whidbey is hosting the semi-finals of the 1999 Seattle Comedy Competition on Nov. 20.The competition began with 32 comedians in rounds 1 and 2. The semi-finals have five finalists from each of those rounds. The 10 semi-finalists are competing five nights at a different venue each night, where they will be scored numerically in seven performance categories by a panel of judges. Local judges will cast their votes and the final five will move onto the finals the following week.The evening at Teddy’s will be hosted by Auggie Smith.
