U.S. Representative Rick Larsen will host a telephone town hall tonight to get input from 2nd District residents on reforming healthcare.

Larsen, a Democrat, will host the call from his office tonight. The telephone town hall starts at 6:40 p.m. Pacific time; call 1-877-269-7289 and enter the code to listen or comment.

“Healthcare reform must bring down costs for Washington state families and businesses, preserve patient choice, protect consumers from discrimination because of preexisting conditions, reward quality, efficient care and ensure a fair deal for Washington state,” Larsen said.

“I invite my constituents to join my telephone town hall to share their thoughts on reforming healthcare,” he added. “I want to bring local ideas to Congress and ensure that healthcare reform works for our state.”

Nearly 2,000 people have already contacted Larsen to talk about healthcare, according to the congressman’s office.

Additional comments on healthcare reform can be made on Larsen’s Web site at http://www.house.gov/larsen.
