It could pay handsomely to shop locally this holiday season.

Participating Langley Chamber of Commerce member businesses are offering one white ticket for each $20 spent by shoppers in their stores.

At 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, one lucky ticket holder will win $1,000 in the Holiday Shopping Spree drawing at Boy & Dog Park on First Street.

To encourage shopping locally and spending time in town, the winner must be present at the Dec. 20 drawing to claim the prize.

The same day, the winning artists who participated in Langley Main Street’s “Deck the Doors” contest will be announced. Three creative people will each win $1,000.
