Brett D’Antonio has been named executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Island County.
D’Antonio joined the organization in 2010 as construction manager, overseeing construction of the affiliate’s last 12 homes. He holds a bachelor of science in finance from Penn State University.
He previously worked for Habitat for Humanity in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, helping rebuild the community after Hurricane Katrina. He was also a member of Americorps National Civilian Community Corps.
Habitat for Humanity of Island County partners with low-income families to build safe, decent, and affordable houses. Families receive financial training, homeownership classes, and opportunities to complete required sweat equity hours as part of the “Hand Up” program to achieve homeownership.
D’Antonio is “excited for the challenges that come with the new position, and happy to be able to continue the organization’s meaningful work in our community.”
