Organizers of this week’s blood drive say people can give a total stranger an early, best gift of all this Valentine’s Day: the gift of life.

The Puget Sound Blood Center will be at Trinity Lutheran Church from noon to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7.

Blood donors must weigh at least 110 pounds and be free of infections. Donors must also be at least 18 years old, but there is no upper age limit.

It takes approximately 45 minutes from start to finish, and donors finish up in the canteen area for homemade treats and a chance to visit with friends and neighbors.
