The South Whidbey Parks and Recreation District will discuss such matters as its facility and field use policy, and salary plan implementation, at its board meeting tonight.

The district will meet at 6 p.m. in the park headquarters at 5475 Maxwelton Road, Langley.

The board is set to make a decision on the implementation of the proposed Step in Grade compensation system, which board members have been discussing since mid-summer.

The compensation system is one which would set the salaries of Parks and Recreation District employees in line with those of similar Parks and Recreation districts, according to Director Doug Coutts.

Parks commissioners will also be discussing the district’s field use policy and other regular business such as the Comprehensive Plan programs.
