Family with Whidbey ties celebrates arrival of baby girl

Heather Wright Nicholson and Robert Stokes Nicholson are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter, Matilda Charlotte Nicholson. Matilda was born at 1:56 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 in Upper Fern Tree Gully, Australia.

Heather Wright Nicholson and Robert Stokes Nicholson are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter, Matilda Charlotte Nicholson. Matilda was born at 1:56 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 in Upper Fern Tree Gully, Australia.

She weighed 9 pounds and was 21.5 inches long.

Proud grandparents are Hamersley (Lee) and Nina Wright of Clinton and Dr. Robert and Gloria Nicholson of Norridgewock, Maine. The family has returned recently from a three-year work assignment in Australia and has been visiting with family in Maine and on Whidbey Island. They will be moving in February to Menlo Park, Calif. for a two-year work assignment at the U.S. Geological Survey.
