A farewell event for Langley Middle School is set for next week.

The school is closing to students at the end of the year as part of consolidation efforts by the South Whidbey School District. The farewell event from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, June 2 is open to the public and will include a tour of buildings, stories by alumni, current and former staff, special presentations and a video tracing the history of Langley High School and Langley Middle School.

There will also be old artifacts, such as yearbooks from the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, etc. provided by the South Whidbey Historical Society.
