Freeland man OK after mobile home burns

A mobile trailer home went up in flames last week. The fire was reported around 9:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, on East Moonlight Drive off Brainers Road. The single male occupant escaped unharmed, but the home was destroyed.

A mobile trailer home went up in flames last week.

The fire was reported around 9:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, on East Moonlight Drive off Brainers Road. The single male occupant escaped unharmed, but the home was destroyed.

“That was a complete loss,” said Paul Busch, assistant chief of South Whidbey Fire/EMS.

The trailer was located on a small undeveloped lot within trees. Firefighters arrived on scene and extinguished the blaze before the surrounding forest was ignited.
