Gerlach to take oath of office at next South Whidbey parks meeting

Last week’s canceled meeting of the South Whidbey Parks and Rec District board has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27.

The meeting will start with the swearing-in of Joel Gerlach, newly elected commissioner.

The board will also need to establish the executive positions of chairman, vice-chairman, secretary and treasurer.

The park district board meets at the district’s headquarters building at 5495 Maxwelton Road.
