Thursday was definitely a better day than Tuesday for golf for the Falcon girls.
After losing big to Monroe at Echo Falls Golf Course Tuesday — something the Falcons are not used to — the girls stormed back Thursday to take it out on teams from Lakewood and Blaine.
More than a third again better than she was in the Falcons’ 232-163 loss to Monroe, junior Jennifer Pan had her match of the season at Kayak Point Golf Course Thursday when she scored 27 Stableford points off a 45-stroke day to make medalist in a three-way North Cascades Conference meet.
Though she was far and away the best golfer on the course, she got plenty of good help from her teammates as the Falcons piled up 103 points to the Cougars’ 28 and Blaine’s 22. Jessica Johnson earned 21 points on the course, Hallie Mansfield 20 and Adrienne Hawley 19. Nici Eaton rounded out the scoring with a round of 16 for 9 holes. Sophomore Jenna Lindus amassed 14 points in the Number 6 position for the Falcons.
Two days earlier, points were more difficult to come by. Playing 18 holes at Echo Falls Golf Course, Mansfield was the top Falcon with a round yielding 40 points. Behind her was Pan with 36, Johnson with 33, Eaton with 28, Lindus with 26 and Marcie Strong with 21.
The girls are undefeated in NCC play at this point in the season.
