High winds blew through the Puget Sound region Monday but no damage was reported on South Whidbey.
Wind speeds were measured between 14 and 26 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Seattle, with gusts up to 36 between 3 and 4 p.m. That was enough to topple one tree into power lines at 3:30 p.m. on Cedar Vista in Clinton.
Island County Fire District 3 responders arrived and waited for Puget Sound Energy to cut power before they removed and disposed of the tree.
No other power outages were reported on the South End.
