There is entertainment for just about anyone at the fair Friday, leading up to Elvis impersonator and headliner Danny Vernon at 8:30 p.m.
Named “Best Young Elvis” in 2003, Vernon performs at everything from car shows to private birthday parties to bigger events.
Vernon’s show was a big hit at last year’s county fair. His unique style covers the King’s hillbilly 1950s breakthrough, his sleek ’60s movie years and the ’70s jumpsuit years.
During Vernon’s show tonight, fair officials will give away tickets to see a Franki Valli & the Four Seasons concert.
Friday is Senior Day at the fair with a special reception and big band dancing in the Pole building.
Friday’s entertainment highlights include:
At 11:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m., singer/songwriter John Dunnigan appears on the midway stage
At noon and 4 p.m., cowgirl comedian Karen Quest will present her trick-rope show on the Pole stage.
The Hot Shot Tap Dancers will perform at 12:30 p.m. on the Midway stage.
