Island County election workers are processing a paper avalanche of ballots that have been received in Coupeville on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Election workers estimated today that approximately 5,200 ballots have been received over the past two days.

More are expected to arrive in the coming days, said Island County Auditor Sheilah Crider.

The county’s election results page on the Web — Click here — will be updated with new vote tallies at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and Friday.

Election workers said Wednesday that a few voters didn’t appear to be happy with the choices on the primary election ballot.

So far, write-in candidates have included both Hillary and Bill Clinton, as well as Paris Hilton. And one voter wrote in a candidate for the “Hottest Party”: Jessica Alba.

“Hollywood has been well-represented in this election,” Crider said.
